چکیده

Pile loop knitted scaffold has attracted attention for being used as a three dimensional (3D) biocompatible material particularly the application of myocardial tissue engineering. In this research, nonintermingled, textured polyethylene terephthalate (PET) multifilament yarn with filament count 48 was producing pile knit structure to investigate if could provide an appropriate microenvironment seeded murine C2C12 myoblasts in case increasing diameter (20.7 micron versus 9.1 from previous study). The resulting had pore network mainly consisting macropores 100-200 µm that were well interconnected micropores (<90 µm). Furthermore, mean values Young’s modulus structures at 20% strain 240.67 kPa warp direction, and 85.73 weft which can be claimed not far those declared literature human heart muscle. addition, cyclic loading-unloading test revealed no creep fabric after 100 cycles. According results WST-1 assay, filament-based non-cytotoxic cells able proliferate properly on scaffold, visualized by SEM confocal images. respect, keep promising cardiac patch.

A knitted, fibrin-covered polycaprolactone scaffold for tissue engineering of the aortic valve.

State-of-the-art tissue engineered heart valves are not strong enough to withstand aortic blood pressure levels. When a strong and slowly degrading scaffold is used, the starting position of valvular tissue engineering is a stronger valve and seeded cells are allowed more time to create a strong extracellular matrix. A polycaprolactone knitted patch with leaflets was developed as a valvular sca...

In vitro Evaluation of Natural Marine Sponge Collagen as a Scaffold for Bone Tissue Engineering

The selection of a suitable scaffold matrix is critical for cell-based bone tissue engineering. This study aimed to identify and characterize natural marine sponges as potential bioscaffolds for osteogenesis. Callyspongiidae marine sponge samples were collected from the Fremantle coast of Western Australia. The sponge structure was assessed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Hematoxyl...
